Mkhondo’s Family

Story : Picture shows mother and her son. She is not working but only volunteering at
CGE. She is part of the cluster families and also attending the woman support group. Before
she joined the woman support group, she was experiencing too much stress and did not
have anyone to talk to about her situation and felt rejected by every one . Remember that
when you go through some difficulties in life and you are quite, not sharing to anyone about
it, you end up hiding yourself from people, thinking that they know your problems and are
busy laughing unto you, even if people don’t know anything concerning your life. She is now
feeling good after talking to others about her life.
Her son is a leaner, attending school close by the center. He is doing very well at schoolrelationship for the safety and development of the children, the security of the family and a stronger community.

Vilakazi's Family

Story: In the picture is Josphina, the mother of two boys, age 10 and 7yrs. This lady is not working but managed to take her two boys to school, paying their school fees with their grants .
Her children are doing very well at school and they passed last year and are now in new grades this year. They received the food parcel and kids gift bag having clothes for Christmas and other kids stuff December months. She is happy to get the support from
CGE.

Matlhadisha's Family

Story: Johanna, the one wearing the green T- shirt, is the mother of 4 kids. She is not working, surviving by kids grant. The children are attending school and doing very well at school.
Since she became one of the support group lady, she is feeling very strong. She is able to do things that she has never done before , like thinking positively all the time and feeling
encouraged. She is able to smile and chat with other people out there.
They received food parcel and kids gift December month. She is happy because they were able to celebrate Christmas just like other families

Phanyane's Family

Story: In the picture is the mother and her two little girls . This two girls were attending crèche at CGE and they did very well last year. They are now allocated to Grade one from being in our crèche. CGE is so proud to produce Learners like them. They were so wise and knew how to write their names and surnames very well.
They were also part of the kids that received the food parcel and kids gift from CGE last year December. The mother is still grateful for what CGE does for them.

Mothokoa' s family

Story:The Mothokoa ‘s family are CGE sponsor for clothes. They are helping the cluster
families by asking the donation of clothes from different people out there in order to give it to
the needy families. On this picture, they brought some clothes to give to clusters.

Tshabalala's Family

Story: In the picture is the mother and her two children. She is not working only surviving by
kids grant. The most important thing she is happy about is because of using the kids grant
wisely. She is happy that kids are attending school and they passed very well. They are now
approved to new grades. Education is the key to success .
The grants she is receiving is not much but she is grateful that she managed to pay for the
school fees at the beginning of this month.
The family received food parcel and kids gift bags having different stuff inside. They were
happy to be on the same level of those kids whom their parents bought clothes for them for
Christma

Ledwaba's Family

Story: Happy family ever. The family is doing very well. The three boys are attending school and they all in new grades this year. They all passed well-stocked year. Their sister passed
her matric and is now looking for a job since she doesn’t have money to pay for the university.
The three boys still receive grant and is only for the school fees, uniforms and stationary . The mother is grateful to take part of doing gardening and also part of support group at CGE
where by parents learn how to take care of their children even in the midst of challenges.
The family received food parcel and kids gift bag December month for Christmas. They celebrated like any other families and are so grateful for CGE’ support.

Masango’s Family

Story: In the picture is Doris, the mother of two kids. The lady who is grateful to the Lord for
such a wonderful gift from God. She love her children whole heartedly and taking care of
them. She go all out to see that her kids survive well in life.
The two of them are attending school and the mother pay the school fees with their grants.
She always avail herself to help with the garden at CGE
In order to get some vegetables to feed her children.
The children passed well last year and they are now approved to the next grades

Malatji’s Family

Story: This family is still adapted in a struggling background even when the children receive grants. The grants are not enough to support the whole family as they have to buy groceries, pay for the school fees, buy school stationery and uniform mostly during the year.
CGE has helped them with getting food parcels and giving gifts to the children during the festivals to make them feel loved and be the same as any other child with new clothes on Christmas day.

Nkwinika's family

Story: This is a lady who doesn’t have a child but with love she has fostered this child and is taking a good care of her.
CGE is her to take care of the child as well as giving the child an educational support.
During December month, they had the capability of receiving food parcels and and child received a gift to show her that her presence is acknowledged and that she’s loved and never was a mistake.

Modiba's family

Story: The picture shows the aunty and her son supporting her nephew (a boy wearing grey and white T-shirt) as his mother was not feeling well.
The boy comes from a good family with a good heart and his mother fully grant him her support more especially in his academics even if they are going through the worst background at home.
They are only survived by the money from the grants in terms of food, school fees etc which is not enough money to maintain their needs.
They received a support from CGE with getting food parcels and a gift for the boy during December month.

Events

The bill of rights in the South African Constitution specifically guarantees that “a child’s best interest are part of paramount importance in every matter concerning the child.”
